Debbie joined Mercia as head of our HR Support Service from Tenon (formerly Lathams) where she was an HR Director for the group. Having studied languages at Durham University she spent 18 years with a major UK bank including twelve months in Paris setting up an internal audit department. Working in various disciplines has contributed to her strong business awareness, so important in today’s professional arena, whilst Institute of Banking and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualifications add to her academic credentials.

On a personal note, Debbie is a keen keep fit fanatic and joined the local gym in her first week at Mercia! She particularly enjoys running, cycling and participating in fitness classes. From her university days she has retained her passion for languages (including Latin!) and anything French, especially the food and wine!
