Mercia Ireland

Brian is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a fellow of the Securities Institute. He trained with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in Belfast and spent three years post-qualification as NI Training Manager. Brian spent a number of years in the stock-broking profession and qualified as a member of the Securities Institute before joining the Practice Advisory Service of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI), subsequently becoming head of the ICAI Monitoring Unit.

Brian founded Mercia Ireland in 1998 and is currently Group Managing Director. He has lectured extensively for Mercia and a number of professional accountancy bodies on a variety of technical subjects.
